Mr & Mrs El-Ras, Age: 65 & 64 City: Ramat Gan

War History: The husband is from Yugoslavia. During the war he was with the Partisans. The Italians sent him to an island in Italy. His wife is not a Holocaust survivor. She is from Yemen.

Recent Status: Mr. & Mrs. El-Ras live in a small rented apartment in Ramat Gan and have three children. One of them has a mental illness (depression) as does his wife. Their children have financial difficulties and many debts. They frequently ask the parents for help and they do help when they can. The monthly income of Mr. & Mrs. El-Ras is 2,600 Shekels Bituach Leumi (together), 3,000 for their pension and 1,000 from funds from Germany. They are minus 8,000 shekels in the bank.
What they ask in their own words is help to live a more comfortable life.
